ok, iPhone users, check it: iRovr.com rocks!

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

irovr.comThis is way more fun than you’ll ever expect to have with a phone.

iRovr is a social networks built around the iPhone concept. It’s about blogging, photos, videos, bookmarks and mostly, making friends.

Yes, you can use it from the comfort of your computer, but where iRovr really shines is on the iPhone. Really, everything really happens via e-mail from your phone, but iPhone makes it so seamless it almost feels like IM.

The community at iRovr is diverse and growing fast, and the people behinds the scenes are busy, but always helpful.

Support the Jena 6

I can’t say enough - if we all speak out, we will be heard!

A major injustice is unfolding in Jena, LA as six black young men are railroaded in a case that reads like one straight from the era of Jim Crow. Read up and take action, now.

Whoopi Goldberg’s first day on The View

Wednesday, September 5th, 2007

I’ve always been a big fan of Whoopi Goldberg, so when I heard she was going to replace Rosie on The View, I set my DVR to record it so I could watch it when I got home from work.

Little did I know she was going to piss me off less than 10 minutes into the show. She managed to offend dog lovers, those of us from the South, and every possible race in just a few short minutes with her comments about Michael Vick. Did she not think any of this through?

Unfortunately, dog fighting is a problem everywhere, even in her beloved New York (just watch Animal Planet’s Animal Precinct when they are doing NY and you’ll see.)

Regardless, there is no excuse - even if Michael Vick grew up with dog fighting, anyone who fights dogs knows this is not approved behavior to the rest of the world. This is not normal - they know it’s illegal when they do it.

If she doesn’t apologize for her comments, I will remove The View from my DVR recording schedule very quickly.
