Here’s a few of my knitting projects lately. I’m making them for Christmas happies for friends.
It’s taken me a couple of tries to get a “pattern” I’m happy with. I’m using #4 dpns & worsted weight yarn.
It’s knit from the bottom up with a special cast on, so they’re are no seams.
I used an applied I-cord bind off when makes a nice smooth edge.
The red ones & the blue & rust one are the latest (and best) so far.

with the fact that I just had to restore my iPhone 3GS 5 days after purchase.
I was taking a photo when the phone crashed. Just went to Apple boot screen. I waited for it to reboot, but it just went black. Had to reset. Apple screen, then black.
I connected to iTunes. Nothing. So I put it in DFU mode, and restored & synced.
I hope this isn’t a sign.

The first penguin’s nearly done. I need to get some seed beads for the eyes still.
I want to make the baby penguin too. That will be next.
And I only stabbed myself once (that bled, anyway.)

Foam block, wool roving, felting needles, ideas. Yes, these needles are wickedly sharp.
The idea is that repeated poking with the barbed felting needles causes the tiny scales on the raw wool roving to bind together, felting them into tight pieces that can be sculpted into any sort of piece and shape.

I should be able to make quite a few things with this. I’ve done a few needle felted animals but I’m still new at this.
